Hamilton Families is one of San Francisco’s leading nonprofit service provider to families experiencing homelessness.

Our programs specialize in preventing homelessness when possible, providing shelter and transitional housing to families in times of need, supporting the wellbeing and academic achievement of children and youth who experience homelessness, and quickly returning families so safe and stable housing throughout the San Francisco Bay Area.

Shelter

Our Shelter in the Tenderloin provides temporary shelter and social services for families in San Francisco.

Transitional Housing

Our Transitional Housing program provides temporary housing and longer-term supportive services to help families move beyond homelessness.

Housing Services

Housing Services focuses on helping unhoused families quickly move into housing with financial support and helping families at-risk of homelessness remain stably housed.

Housing Search

Our Real Estate department finds viable housing options for families and works directly with landlords and property managers as partners.

Children & Youth

Our children and youth services provides academic and enrichment activities at our Shelter and Transitional Housing sites to help strengthen the resiliency of children who experience homelessness.
