3 Films, 3 Families, 3 Stories…
To help bring attention to the stories of the families in our programs, we partnered with San Francisco-based media maker BAVC Media, with support from Google.org, to produce three documentary short films, each on a family who has participated in one of our programs: Hogar, What You’ll Remember, About a Home.

How to get involved
Start by joining the cause! Add your name to our list of supporters working to end family homelessness in our communities.
Consider hosting a screening fundraiser party of our documentaries that are available on the short film streaming platform ARGO. Register your party here!
After that, consider our volunteer and giving opportunities, and look at how you can help spread awareness to #EndFamilyHomelessness.

Precious Sarria and her family experienced homelessness and housing insecurity for over two years. After moving into housing with the help of Hamilton Families, they documented their lives to raise awareness for the rising homelessness in the Bay Area.

After 15 years of bouncing from unsafe apartments to couches to shelters to the streets, parents Elizabeth and David write a letter to their children, describing their experience of homelessness while waiting for housing assistance, and expressing their deep belief that family can create home when there is no house.
